Open For Business since 1989

The Business Park first opened for business in 1989 and quickly grew to become a lynch pin of business within the Calder Valley.  The site was originally the location of Albert Mills, home to the weavers Thomas Ratcliffe and Company Ltd, who went on to become the producer of the world-famous Moderna blanket, which gave rise to the name Moderna Mills.  The site underwent development in the late eighties, marking the birth of Moderna Business Park, and benefited from further modernisation in the late noughties.  Everyone from small start-ups to large multinationals have seen the benefits to operating from Moderna, and continue to do so.
